It's more than a fad, it's a whole new industry. "Anesthesia-Free Teeth Cleaning" purveyors prey on the public fear of anesthesia to rope in naive clients.

More properly called "Non-Professional Dental Scaling" or NPDS.

These folks are committing outright fraud on pet-parents.

Removing tartar from only the visible tooth surface:

  1. Provides NO health benefit.
  2. Carries risk of serious harm, injury or death.
  3. Damages the enamel, accelerating plaque and tartar buildup.

Thansk for helping us spread the word about this Dr. Rich...sadly, too many people think that this procedure helps their pets when it actually provides very little benefit.
